What is going on with Livernois between Avon and Walton? Someone said they put in some sort of watering system for the grass??? Is that true?

I did hear that they voted on this project.

Who wanted this in?

An irrigation system has been installed in the Livernois Boulevard between Avon and Walton. The system is being funded with METRO ACT dollars. METRO ACT monies are collected from utilities that use the road right-of-way for placement of utilities (electric, telephone, cable TV). The underground irrigation system has been installed and is near completion. Additional trees will be planted over the winter and new grass will be planted in the spring. Mayor Barnett was able to channel METRO ACT funds into a proposal in which City Council approved after a number of residents, over a number of years, complained about the spotty grass, dying plants and trees.

If you have any questions regarding this information, please call me at 248-656-4685.

Thank you,
Roger H. Rousse
